Android Nougat review: New features only for new phones

In reviewing Android Nougat, it became distinctly clear that many of the features are reserved for users of new devices. Initially, it should be considered as a limited update but to be honest, it is by no means the update we've been waiting for. The good features are only available on new smartphones and the best ones only on the Pixel.

Let's face facts: if you don't have the word Nexus or the letter G emblazoned on the back of your smartphone, you probably still don't have the Nougat update. The distribution of the update has been delayed, as usual, while Samsung, Sony and other manufacturers take their time to adjust the OS to their devices. Perhaps for you, your mobile phone provider will bless a small percentage of its users with the update then, over the course of a few months, distribute it more and more until finally, the last of you have all received the update. By then, Android 8 will probably already be available. But in all honesty…
